We’ve reviewed a few Honeywell machines in the past, and have had almost all positive things to say about them. The Honeywell round air purifier is no exception, though it does come in the middle of their budget option and their high-end option. That makes it a perfect choice for people who are looking to filter medium to large sized rooms with a high-quality HEPA purification system.
What many people don’t understand about a true HEPA system is that it actually removes all pollutants from the air. For marketing purposes and lawsuit purposes, Honeywell can only advertise that 99.97% of particulates are removed from the air – but for our purposes, we have found that air purified through the Honeywell round purifier is essentially 100% clean. There are some particulates that sneak through, because they are under the 0.3 μ range, but that is not a big deal, because our eyes, nose, and lungs are not bothered by particles that are that small.
The round design of the Honeywell 50250-S air filter makes it extremely efficient. It can suck in air from 360 different degrees, meaning that it’s going to purify and a more efficient and effective manner. That also means that it’s drawing less air through more area, making it a quieter running machine. If you find that it is simply too loud for you, which we strongly doubt, you can always turn down the fan setting to something a little bit more manageable. The Honeywell round air purifier offers three different speed settings. If you’re in a rush and need to purify air quickly, you can turn it up to max and several other the noise increase. However, if you’re entertaining guests and want to make sure that they’re breathing fresh, clean air, you can pump it down to the minimum fan speed, and reduce that noise significantly.
It sits comfortably on a desk or table, or even on the floor if you desire. We strongly recommend the Honeywell round air purifier for anyone who is not looking to purify just a single small bedroom. Would be overkill for this particular use, and we can recommend some of Honeywell’s other air purifiers for the specific purpose. Likewise, if you are looking to purify an entire house or maybe even an entire floor of a house, there are options that are a little bit more robust, this would still work, so choose at your own discretion.
